Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Thickly grated carrot
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • ¼ cup deseeded and chopped dates ( khajur )
  • ¼ tsp cardamom ( elaichi ) powder
  • stevia ( optional )

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. To make low-fat carrot halwa, heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, add the carrots and sauté on a medium flame for 5 minutes.
  2. Add ¾ cup of milk and dates, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  3. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  4. Add the remaining ¼ cup of milk and cardamom powder, mix well and cook on medium flame for 4 minutes, while stirring continuously.
