MOONG BAJRA KHICHDI

Ingredients:
- Bajra soaked and drained 15g
- Yellow moong dal washed and drained 15g
- Olive oil ½ Teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Cumin seeds – ¼ Teaspoon
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Turmeric powder – ¼ Teaspoon
- Onion rings
- Chopped Coriander – 10g
Notes:
- The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.

Directions:
- Combine the bajra, moong dal, salt, and water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Keep aside.
- For the tempering, heat the oil in a small non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida, turmeric powder and saute for a few seconds.
- Add the tempering to the khichdi, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Serve immediately.
