This recipe is curated to provide numerous health benefits while keeping calories to a minimum. It features powerful, nutritious and simple ingredients.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Multigrain flour
- 2 tbsp fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp ghee (for cooking)
- Water as needed (to knead dough)
Directions:
- Mix multigrain flour, chopped methi leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli, powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, sesame seeds, and salt in a bowl.
- Add water gradually to form a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a ball.
- Roll out each ball into a thin circle (thepla) using a rolling pin.
- Heat a stainless steel pan, and lightly grease it with 1/2 tsp ghee.
- Cook the thepla on both sides until golden brown and slightly crispy, pressing lightly with a spatula.
- Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
