- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg or flax egg (vegan option)
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix honey or maple syrup, applesauce, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and the egg.
- Blend the Batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
