Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg or flax egg (vegan option)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix honey or maple syrup, applesauce, coconut oil, vanilla extract, and the egg.
  4. Blend the Batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
