Ingredients:
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 tbsp custard powder (unsweetened)
- 1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 cup mixed fresh fruits (e.g., apple, banana, berries)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
- Prepare Custard Base: In a small saucepan, mix the custard powder with 1/4 cup of milk to make a smooth paste. Heat the remaining milk in the saucepan until it’s warm, but not boiling.
- Cook Custard: Add the custard paste to the warm milk, stirring constantly. Continue to cook on low heat until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Sweeten: Stir in honey or maple syrup if desired and mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add Fruits: Once the custard has cooled, gently fold in the mixed fresh fruits.
- Chill & Serve: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
