• 1/2 cup oats powdered
  • 1/2 cup sooji
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Vegetables like grated carrots, chopped capsicum,grated beetroot

For Tempering:

  • 1 tsp oil
  • ¾ tsp mustard
  • ½ tsp cumin / jeera
  • 1 tsp sesame / til
  • few curry leaves
  • pinch hing / asafoetida


  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.


  1. First mix suji,oats flour and curd and keep it aside for 10 minutes
  2. Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan.
  3. In the suji mixture add all mentioned vegetables,salt and mix properly.
  4. Now in the pan heat oil,put rye,curry leaves, sesame seeds, chopped green chillies.
  5. Over this, put a thick layer of Handvo mixture and make it like a thick pancake,a huge one covering the entire pan.
  6. Cover and cook on low heat.
  7. After three minutes, flip the side.
  8. Now drop in a plate cut triangular pieces.
  9. And Handvo is ready.
