HEALTHY MUTTER PANEER

Ingredients:

  • Paneer 50 gms
  • Fresh green peas 20 gms
  • Onion, finely chopped 1 small
  • Ginger-green chili paste 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes, finely chopped 1 small
  • Red chili powder 3/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Coriander powder 1/4 tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder – a pinch
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil 1/2 tsp

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a cooking vessel, add the chopped onions and saute approximately for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add ginger-green chili paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and combine.
  3. Add 1 tbsp of water and saute for a minute.
  4. Now add tomatoes and cook.
  5. Turn off heat and cool. Make a coarse paste with the help of a food processor.
  6. Return this paste to the vessel, add a cup of water and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce flame, add the green peas and cook for 6 minutes.
  8. Add the paneer and salt and cook on a simmer flame for 7-8 minutes.
  9. Stir in the garam masala powder, and dry fenugreek leaves(Kasuri methi) mix well, cook for a minute. Turn off the flame.
  10. Let it sit for a while before serving. The gravy thickens, so at the time of serving, add a little milk and combine. Serve hot with Rotis.
