HEALTHY JOWAR MEDLEY

JOWAR MEDLEY

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup cooked jowar (sorghum)
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup tomato, diced
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp rock salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tbsp roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander

Directions:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, and let them splutter.
  2. Add green chili and curry leaves, sauté for a few seconds.
  3. Toss in onions and cook until translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt, cook until soft.
  5. Mix in cooked jowar and roasted peanuts, stir well for 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander and lemon juice, serve warm.
