HEALTHY DALIYA UPMA

DALIYA UPMA

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup daliya (cracked wheat)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 carrot (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Roast the Daliya: Dry roast the daliya for 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
  2. Sauté Spices and Vegetables: Heat oil, add mustard seeds, onions, and vegetables. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Cook Daliya: Add water (1.5 cups), salt, and roasted daliya, cook until daliya is soft.
  4. Serve: Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
