BARLEY TABBOULEH [ CUISINE LEBANESE ]

Nutrients

Ingredients:

  • Barley (raw) – 1 tbsp
  • Bulgar wheat (raw) – 2 tbsp
  • Mixed veggies – ½ cup
  • Parsley – 1 tbsp 
  • Lemon juice (squeeze on top) – as per taste
  • Salt and pepper –  as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tsp

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. Boil the barley in plenty of salted water until tender, about 10 minutes. 
  2. Drain well and chill. Soak bulgur in 2 cups boiling water for approximately 8 minutes until softened. 
  3. Drain and chill. Combine grains, carrot, onion, cucumber, tomatoes, and parsley.
  4. Toss well. Combine lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper to taste.
  5. Add to salad and toss well to combine. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled and serve.
