HEALTHY GRILLED CHICKEN PIZZA

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole wheat pita or tortilla (8-inch diameter)
  • 100g grilled chicken breast, cooked and sliced
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce (low-sodium)
  • 1/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh basil leaves for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.
  2. Prepare the pita/tortilla: Place the whole wheat pita or tortilla on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Add the sauce: Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pita or tortilla.
  4. Top with ingredients: Arrange the grilled chicken slices, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and baby spinach on top of the sauce. Sprinkle it with shredded mozzarella cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bake the pizza: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the pita or tortilla are crispy.
  6. Garnish and serve: Optional—garnish with fresh basil leaves. Slice and enjoy your healthy grilled chicken pizza!
