HEALTHY BROWN POHA

BROWN POHA

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown poha (flattened rice)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1/4 cup carrots (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup bell peppers (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup beans (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Directions:

  1. Soak the Poha: Rinse the poha and let it soak for 5 minutes, then drain excess water.
  2. Sauté Spices and Vegetables: Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and sauté until they splutter. Add chopped onions and cook until soft.
  3. Add Vegetables: Add peas, carrots, bell peppers, and beans to the pan, cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Cook the Poha: Add turmeric powder, soaked poha, and salt, stir well, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
