Ingredients:

  • Mixed sprouts 30g
  • Tomato 15g
  • Onion (chopped) 15g
  • Ginger (finely chopped) 1 tsp
  • Garlic (finely chopped) 1 tsp
  • Green chili (chopped) 1 no.
  • Garam masala powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder ¼ tsp
  • Red chili powder ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp
  • Oil ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. Chop all tomato, onion, ginger, garlic, and green chili & keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add the finely chopped garlic and ginger. Stir and saute till the raw aroma of both goes away.
  3. Add chopped onions, green chilies, and a pinch of asafoetida. Stir and saute till the onions become translucent.
  4. Meanwhile, when the onions are getting sauteed, rinse the moong sprouts.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes then add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder.
  6. Stir and mix everything very well.7Add mixed sprouts & add 1 cup water. Stir. Season with salt.
  7. Cover and simmer on a low to medium flame till the moong sprouts are done & add chopped coriander leaves. Stir once more.
  8. Serve hot.
