GREEN MOONG KEBAB

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup green moong (soaked 1 hour)
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped green chili
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup coriander and mint
  • 1 tsp jeera seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 cloves
  • 1 egg (for coating)

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. Boil the green moong dal with the above ingredients till it becomes 70% cooked.
  2. Strain the water and keep it aside.
  3. After moong is cooled, blend it into a coarse paste form. Use very little water or else the mixture will become runny. Use moong water itself.
  4. Once the paste is formed, cool it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the mixture and add the chopped onion, coriander, and mint leaves.
  6. Mix it well and form kebabs.
  7. Coat them in egg and shallow fry till golden brown. Serve immediately.
