CABBAGE AND JOWAR MUTHIYA

Ingredients:

For the muthiyas:
  • Jowar flour – 1 tbsp
  • Grated cabbage – 1 tbsp
  • Low-fat curds – 1 Tsp
  • Chopped coriander – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger-green chilli paste – ½  tsp
  • Garlic cloves – 2no.
  • Turmeric powder – ¼  tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander to garnish – 1 tbsp chopped
For the tempering
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida – ¼ Tsp
  • Curry leaves – 3 to 4 no.
  • Oil – ½ tsp

Notes:

  • The number of ingredients can change as per the number of people being served.
  • If you like you can change the style and make modifications to the mentioned ingredients and recipe.

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead to make a soft dough using enough water. and make rolls
  2. Place the rolls on a steaming dish and steam for 5-7 minutes till firm.How to proceed
  3. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds. When they crackle, add the asafetida and curry leaves.
  4. Add the muthias and saute over a low flame till they are lightly browned.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with the coriander.
